David
Adderley

David has raised over $600 million from institutional, family office, and high-net-worth investors for multiple venture capital funds, invested in over 50 tech companies and represented Celtic House on over 35 M&A and IPO transactions.
David has led investments in and served on the boards of multiple companies, including CanvasPop (acquired by Circle Graphics), Nuvyyo (acquired by E.W. Scripps), and Coherent Path (acquired by Movable Ink). His current investments include Fantuan, Raven Connected, Shopperplus, Snappy, Quadshift, UniOne Foods, and UniUni.
Before joining Celtic House, David worked as a corporate and intellectual property lawyer at Gowling WLG. He earned a B.A. from Queen’s University, a J.D. from the University of Western Ontario, and is called to the bar in Ontario.

Valis

Tom joined Celtic House in 1996 as a founding partner and has since worked with a range of start-ups across networking, computing, storage, RF, and now SaaS—generating several billion dollars in exit value. He currently serves on the boards of Auvik (cloud-based IT Ops), Raven AI (manufacturing SaaS), and Enzuzo (consent management SaaS).
Tom co-developed the foundational IP for metro-optical networking, with academic work that continues to be widely cited. He studied AI under Nobel Laureate Geoff Hinton during graduate studies at the University of Toronto, where he earned a PhD in Aerospace Engineering. He later conducted postdoctoral research at MIT.
Denis Martel

Denis is Finance Director at Celtic Venture Partners and is responsible for the firm’s finance functions. He manages Celtic’s audit process and prepares the quarterly and annual financial reports for all the Celtic funds and special purpose vehicles (SPVs). He also handles new investor onboarding and manages Celtic’s online investor portal.
Prior to joining Celtic House in 2005, Denis was the Controller at Wesley Clover Corporation, the private holding company of billionaire serial tech entrepreneur Sir Terence Matthews. Prior to that, Denis held various financial positions at several technology companies and financial institutions.
Larry Liu

Larry Liu is Managing Partner at Celtic House Asia Partners, leading investments in B2B SaaS and Industrials.
Previously, Larry founded GCI Capital, an early-stage B2B fund with international exposure in Canada, the U.S., Israel, and China, with notable investments in Envenio (acquired by JUUL), ApplyBoard, and Quectel (603236.SS). Before GCI Capital, Larry co-founded EffiSolar, a renewable energy firm focused on wind and solar plant development and financing in Canada and the U.S. His team at GCI Capital has been collaborating with Celtic House Venture Partners since 2015. In 2019, Larry and his partner Charlie Wang launched Celtic House Asia Partners under the “Celtic House” brand, with the support of Celtic House Venture Partners.
Larry earned a B.A. specializing in Economics and Finance from the University of Toronto and an MSc in Business and Management from the University of Portsmouth.
Charlie Wang
PARTNER, CELTIC HOUSE ASIA PARTNERS
Charlie Wang is a Partner at Celtic House Asia Partners, where he leads the fund’s investment activities in Vancouver and oversees fundraising and investor relations across North America.
Charlie co-founded Celtic House Asia Partners with Larry Liu in 2019 under the “Celtic House” brand, with the support of Celtic House Venture Partners. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Summerhill Pyramid Winery, the largest organic winery in Canada. An early investor in Fantuan and IOT Pay—two of Celtic House Asia Partner’s standout successes—Charlie has also led investments in UniUni and Big Way Hot Pot. He brings strong ties within the Asian ex-pat community and is a passionate advocate for first-generation Canadian entrepreneurs.
Sky Yu
PARTNER, CELTIC HOUSE ASIA PARTNERS
Sky Yu is a Partner at Celtic House Asia Partners, overseeing the fund’s governance, operations, and investments in Food Tech and E-Commerce. Previously, Sky was Director of LCS-CP Family Office Limited, a FOF with international reach in China, Canada, and the U.S., focusing on asset allocation, funds management, and direct investments. His notable investments include Hootsuite, ChemExpress (688131.SS), and Black Sesame (2533.HK). Before LCS-CP, Sky was a Director Assistant & Analyst at Alacrity Canada, supporting startups and entrepreneurs. In 2020, he joined Larry Liu and Charlie Wang at Celtic House Asia Partners.
Sky earned a BSc in Mathematics from Trinity Western University and an MSc in Finance from Simon Fraser University.
